Washtenaw County Probate Judge Julia B. Owdziej, long time champion for the most vulnerable populations in Washtenaw County, is seeking your vote in the upcoming August 5th primary.
Julia has served the citizens of Washtenaw County for 22 years. First, as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, she helped victims of crime by representing them in cases from assault and battery to murder.
As a Juvenile Court Referee for 14 years she has made difficult decisions regarding children and their families. She also served as the hearing officer for the Juvenile Drug Court for 7 years, a specialty court that assists teenagers who are struggling with substance abuse.
Three years ago she was appointed Deputy Probate Register, legal counsel to the Probate Court.
On June 3, 2014, Julia was sworn in as Washtenaw County Probate Judge to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Judge Nancy Wheeler.
Julia has been an advocate, hearing officer, Register and now Judge. All of this make her uniquely qualified to continue to serve Washtenaw County as their Probate Judge.
Julia finished first in the August Primary.
On November 4, 2014 vote to RETAIN Judge Julia B. Owdziej.
